LumiRank ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Shopify SEO optimization application.

By using LumiRank, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Shopify Store Information

When you install LumiRank on your Shopify store, we collect:

• Store domain and name
• Product and page information (titles, descriptions, URLs, meta tags, images and their alt text)
• Store configuration relevant to SEO optimization

2.2 Google Services Data

When you connect Google services, we access:

• Google Search Console: Search performance data, keyword rankings, click-through rates, impressions, and indexing status
• Google Analytics: Website traffic data, user behavior metrics, session information, geographic data, and device information

We use Google OAuth 2.0 and request only what these features need: read-only access to Google Analytics (analytics.readonly), and Search Console access (webmasters), which LumiRank uses to read your search performance and to submit or remove a sitemap only when you click that button. We never change any other Search Console or Google Analytics setting.

LumiRank's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Google user data is used only to show you your own reports and SEO recommendations inside LumiRank; it is never sold, never used for advertising, never read by people except with your consent or where required for security or by law, and never used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

You can disconnect Google at any time from the Search Console or Google Analytics page. Disconnecting deletes the stored connection and revokes LumiRank's access with Google, unless your other Google connection in LumiRank uses the same Google account and still needs it. You can also remove LumiRank's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

2.3 Usage Information

We collect information about how you interact with our application, including features used and preferences set.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide SEO analysis and optimization recommendations
• Display search performance metrics and analytics
• Generate structured data (schema markup) for your products
• Monitor and alert you about SEO issues
• Track keyword rankings and measure how AI search engines mention your store
• Improve our application and develop new features

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data:

• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Access tokens are securely stored and encrypted
• We use secure cloud infrastructure for data storage
• Regular security audits and updates are performed

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights and prevent fraud
• With service providers who assist in operating our application (under strict confidentiality agreements)

6. Third-Party Services

LumiRank integrates with the following third-party services:

• Shopify: For store data access and app functionality
• Google Search Console: For search performance data
• Google Analytics: For website analytics data
• OpenAI: Generates SEO titles, meta descriptions, product descriptions, schema text, keyword and content-brief suggestions, and AI Assistant replies. The product, collection or page text being optimized is sent for that request; when you ask for a description based on product images, those images are sent too. When you ask LumiRank to rewrite a meta tag or refresh content from a Search Console insight, the search queries for that page are included. AI Assistant messages are sent together with a summary of your store's SEO data so the answer can refer to it. For AI search visibility, the prompts you track are sent to ChatGPT search to see whether your store is named. No customer data is sent.
• Mistral AI: Generates blog article drafts from the topic and keywords you enter, image alt text from the product's title, description and tags, and SEO text when you choose the Mistral model in Settings.
• SerpAPI: Checks search rankings. The keywords you track and your store domain are sent; nothing else.
• Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel (application hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database) and Upstash (queue and cache) store and process the data described above on our behalf.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data they collect.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Disconnect Google services at any time
• Uninstall the application and have your data removed

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you uninstall LumiRank, we will delete your data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
